Tips to go to São vicente:
Rent a car and take the road from Funchal through Serra D'água and go into an old scenic road in Encumeada. There you will find beautiful landscapes over the mountains. After visiting São Vicente the road leads to the west side, to Seixal and Porto Moniz. From Porto Moniz, it's time to feel the Fanal Forest in your lungs and explore Paul da Serra Scenic road. If you are staying on the East of Madeira enjoy the old roads from the northeast specially Ponta Delgada (ER 101).
