Located in the Pico das Pedras Forest Park along the road that connects to Achada do Teixeira, the Picarouto viewpoint offers a magnificent view from São Jorge to Ponta de São Lourenço, with emphasis on the rock formation of Penha d'Águia , in Porto da Cruz. On the opposite side, you can contemplate the Central Mountain Massif.

Rent a car and drive through the laurissilva forest on the north side of Madeira and you will find this beautiful viewpoint on your left side when you are going up the road towards Achada do Teixeira in Santana.
