Lombo do Mouro where you can observe fascinating mountains and valleys and the clouds blown in from the trade winds flow over the encumeada.
Lombo do Mouro is a place that takes part of Laurel's forest, located on the road ER110 near Paul da Serra.

PR17- Hiking Pináculo e Folhadal
Bica da Cana Pinaculo hike trailhead is located in Canhas parish village of Ponta do Sol, which is basically in the center of Madeira Island.
Hike Distance: The total distance is 18km as part of a circular route. You start and finish at Encumeada Viewpoint
Hike Duration: About 5-7 hours depending on your pace and the length of your breaks.
Hike Difficulty: The trail is moderate. You need to be in good hiking shape for a trail that length. In terms of the terrain, you can expect rocky uneven paths, wooden stairs, muddy sections, dark narrow tunnels, easy Levada sections, and mostly gravel paths.
Parking
The exact location of the parking lot is pinned on the map above. The parking lot only fits a few cars, but it isn’t the most popular trail.
Before you start the hike you might want to walk for five minutes along the dirt track to the Bica da Cana viewpoint.
